2024 Season Recap

The Martinez Heat 11U team capped off their fall travel ball season with an impressive championship win in their final tournament—a fantastic way to close out the season!

 

This group is truly something special. Since reuniting as a travel team after the 2024 Martinez Little League Spring season, they’ve competed in seven tournaments, advancing to six championship games—two as a 10U team, narrowly missing titles, and four as an 11U team, capturing three championships. This outstanding record solidifies their position as one of the area’s top travel ball teams.

 

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that the Martinez Heat is a homegrown team, built by bringing together top players from Martinez Little League. Unlike many other top teams that hold seasonal tryouts and recruit from various regions, the Heat held a single tryout, made one key addition, and have stayed united. Competing without the need for “guest players,” they’ve built a strong bond and team chemistry—a group that truly loves playing together.

 

As a 100% volunteer-run team, the coaches’ commitment and passion are extraordinary. Their dedication and deep baseball knowledge have brought out the best in each player.

 

This season’s success wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of the parents and family members who have cheered on the team every step of the way.

Looking ahead to the 2025 spring season, the Heat 11U team plans to remain together, competing in the 50/70 division of Martinez Little League, making players eligible for postseason opportunities such as TOC and All Stars. They will also join the new Mission League, competing against some of the area’s top travel ball teams. Additionally, the Heat may enter one or two tournaments to further hone their skills.

Congratulations to the entire Martinez Heat 11U FAMILY on an incredible fall season! The team will enjoy a well-deserved break from tournament play and will regroup for an exciting spring season.​​​​​​​
